Cropping Pattern
District Nankana Sahib comprises of three Tehsils i.e. Nankana Sahib, Shahkot and Sangla Hill. There are eight Marqaz namely Nankana Sahib, Warburton, Bucheki, Mandi Faizabad, Syed Wala, Sangla Hill, Marh Baloochan and Shahkot. In Rabi, major crop is wheat whereas rice and sugarcane are major crops in Kharif. The best variety on Basmati rice (Super Basmati) is cultivated in the fertile land of this district. The export quality of rice is very popular in US and the Gulf States. Pakistan earns millions of dollars by exporting rice from District Nankana Sahib.
